The impact of Mis/Disinformation in digital spaces on our societies is a major policy concern around the region, even more so with the emergence of generative AI. We hosted a dinner and discussion with Masato Kajimoto, Associate Professor of journalism at the University of Hong Kong, in conversation with Surachanee "Hammerli" Sriyai, lecturer at School of Public Policy Chiang Mai University, to better understand its impact on people and media freedom.

Masato Kajimoto, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of journalism at the University of Hong Kong. He specializes in news literacy education, fact-checking practice, misinformation ecosystem research, and press freedom in Asia.

Surachanee "Hammerli" Sriyai, Ph.D., is lecturer and Digital Governance Track Lead at the School of Public Policy at Chiang Mai University. Her research and teaching interests encompass how digital technologies affect our political interaction.
